Out of Reach

Dug out an ancient sketch of mine, since I felt more like coloring than sketching or inking (which is EXTREMELY rare). I made a photocopy, so the line weight was... very high contrast... and most of my lines were completely lost, but... I kind of like it that way. o_O;

Hated the way the tree leaves came out--I really suck at landscapes--so I messed with it a bunch in Photoshop. I think it ended up alright.

I thought about adding some kind of border/something around the edges, because it didn't quite look right, but... I wanted it to be open and free, considering she's escaping from her daily life, so I left it.

Again, I drew this AGES ago. It was probably inspired by lots of Naruto, and my friend who loved coming up with his own ninja, which I'd occasionally sketch for him (he can't draw for beans) ;] So yeah, she was...intended to be a ninja, 'cause, ya know... Who do we know that like to chill out way up high in trees? She actually didn't start out as a ninja, I think, when I was drawing her, but... that's just how it ended up.

Mm, took a good few hours... maybe more. Copics + colored pencils + photoshop. Photoshop part was an hour, max.
